Make Your Own Cording

Making your own cording is a great way to get that custom made to match look.  It is super easy and a great thing to add to your sewing arsenal.

Cut your fabric to the desired length. Cutting on the bias will work the best.   If you don’t have enough you can join them together by placing them right sides together making a square.  Then cut the corner off.

Sew the pieces together along the angled edge you just cut.
Finish your ends by folding them over abut 1/2″ and sew.
You can use an iron to press/ crease into the center, or just fold up and pin.
Fold the sides together and sew along the edge.
That is it.  Now you have a custom made to match cording.
